Felling and Dismantling
Using modern rigging techniques and equipment our professional staff have the knowledge and experience to deal with awkward or dangerous trees safely.
Pruning
Tree pruning forms the basis of a good management regime, from formative pruning of young trees prior to planting through to maintenance of old and veteran trees. Sympathetic pruning will aid in reducing the long-term maintenance costs as well as optimizing the structural integrity and health of your trees.
Hedge Maintenance
We can prune or clip any size hedge, small and decorative to wild and rural. Using traditional hedge laying techniques we can initiate and maintain long term management of field hedges and property boundaries. We are happy to advise on future management whether you want to reduce the height and width or just create a pleasant shape through clipping.
Stump Grinding
The removal of tree stumps after felling. The stump grinding machine will remove the stump to approximately 20cm (8”) below the current soil level leaving a mulch that will rot down to enrich the soil allowing the area to be re-planted or turfed over. No stump is too large or small for our narrow access machine.
Cable Bracing/Crown support systems
A thorough understanding of tree biomechanics is required to safely advise on the installation of branch and stem supports. For two decades our head arborist has accumulated knowledge and insight in this area of expertise and now advises several National Trust properties. In many instances crown support is a cost effective management option.
Planting
From small to large scale in number and size, we are happy to advise as to the most suitable species for your location and the best options for your budget. We can design large planting schemes covering several acres or advise on single species work.
